Currently, a total of four Silent 55 yachts are either complete or under construction. These vessels have an unlimited range and do not emit any fumes, making them ideal for sailing.

The use of solar energy is rapidly expanding beyond land and into the sea, as seen in the impressive solar projects currently in development. One such project is the Silent 55 solar panel boat created by Silent Yachts, a high-end Austrian company. This boat utilizes quiet electric propulsion, allowing for unlimited travel without noise, pollution, or the need for upkeep.
According to Silent Yachts, the length of the vessel is 54 feet and 10 inches, with a maximum speed of 20 knots (equivalent to 23 miles per hour). However, the starting price for this yacht is $1,550,000.

The Silent Yachts, a luxurious watercraft designed with naval architecture, serving as a boat, vehicle, ship, and speedboat, with a spacious deck for ultimate relaxation and enjoyment on the water.
According to Silent Yachts, their latest model, launched in 2018, is an upgrade from its previous version. The updated yacht features a revamped drive-train system with increased battery capacity, twice as powerful engines, and enhanced noise suppression technology.
The product consists of 30 solar panels that have a capacity of 10 kilowatts each. These panels are equipped with solar charge regulators that aid in extracting the maximum power by functioning at an effective voltage. This results in low operational costs for the vessel as there is minimal maintenance and no emissions, making it a more cost-effective option compared to traditional power yachts, according to the company.

According to Michael Kohler, the founder and CEO of Silent Yachts, the most significant aspect of this is the yachtsman’s capacity to sail for extended periods of time at regular speed, and continue throughout the day and night at a slower pace. This was mentioned among other notable features in a statement.
Boats that do not use gasoline are primarily utilized for leisure activities. However, they may also have applications in the military, tourism boating, and undersea research.
Eco Marine Power (EMP), a company based in Japan that specializes in renewable energy systems, has introduced a novel technology known as EnergySails. These sails utilize a combination of light and wind to provide propulsion for large ships. The sails are constructed from either carbon fiber or steel and can potentially be installed on any vessel. This option is much more cost-effective, as it eliminates the need to purchase a silent yacht, which can cost up to $1.5 million.
